Abstract:
How to understand the concepts of power and exclusion within Hegelian philosophy? By correcting in some points the accusations against
Hegel’s philosophy, according to which his system would be the expression of an annihilating inclusion of any real difference, this essay in-
tends to support the thesis of the presence, at the center of Hegel’s system, and in particular of his logic, of the constitutive role of otherness in the process of subjectification. is paper aims also to show that this relationship is not of overwhelming or exclusion, but of recognition of the other. Starting from this hermeneutic presupposition, the paper intends to display how Hegelian criticism of subjectivism and of modern
abstract thought can be useful today to understand some limits of the current global world.
