Starting from HA. Θ 1, 588a 25-b3, the paper will ask
which theory about growth and learning could lay behind the strange
formula
about the fact that the soul of very young children is “not
different” from that of some non-human animals. An interpretation
will be proposed, in order to accommodate the growth of the psychic
powers with the immutability of the soul meant as substantial form.
