Course Objectives


The course aims to provide practical skills in using Microsoft Excel, one of the most widely used tools in various business environments, supporting the overall objectives of the Economics and Management degree program.
Specifically:
Digital and IT skills:
The course provides operational mastery of Microsoft Excel as a digital tool for managing, processing, and analyzing business information, in line with the IT skills required by the Economics and Management graduate profile.
Communication skills:
The course develops the ability to represent and communicate business data through graphs, tables, and dashboards, equipping students with the technical tools necessary for professional and effective communication in organizational contexts.

Course Prerequisites


The course does not require specific previous skills.

Teaching Methods


The course includes 24 hours of lessons, which will be delivered through lectures and practical sessions.

Assessment Methods


The final exam will consist of a practical test with Excel software in which students will be asked to apply the knowledge they have learned and the functionalities of the tool.

Texts


Course material will be provided in the form of lecture slides, which will be uploaded to the e-learning portal, and readings (articles, tutorials or part of books) indicated by the teacher during the course.

Contents


The course aims to provide the knowledge and skills to manipulate, organize, analyze, and visualize data using the popular Excel software. Specifically, students will learn to create graphs and data visualizations to answer specific basic business questions.
