Course Objectives

To provide fundamental knowledge about modern neuroimaging techniques, from physical principles to clinical and research applications.

Course Prerequisites

Basic physics and physiology.

Teaching Methods

Classroom and online lessons.

Assessment Methods

The verification consists of an oral dissertation with a critical discussion of a published paper, with additional questions to verify the student’s knowledge. The duration of the verification is about 30 minutes.

Slides.

Introduction to modern neuroimaging techniques.
The BOLD effect and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).

Application of ultrasounds to neuromodulation.
Discussion of selected studies. Lab visiting and data analysis demonstration.
