The course will be held in the presence in the first semester. Students who are unable to attend lessons in person will be guaranteed the possibility of replacing their attendance of lessons in person with the study of the volume indicated above (in addition to the compulsory ones for all), for which the lecturer guarantees support in studying and preparing for the exam through online meetings (the dates will be communicated in the teaching notices)For students with disabilities and/or with DSA, it is advisable to contact the competent office (https://www.unich.it/sites/default/files/carta_dei_servizi_0.pdf).

Assessment Methods

A mid-term test will be held on the 13. November 2025, regarding the sources for medieval history. The test will be divided into two parts: the first part will consist in a written quiz regarding the main sources (2 hours); for the second part students will be asked to present a research path about a topic of their own choice (2 hours). The criteria for evaluating this mid-term test are the same as the final oral test and will be averaged with the grade obtained in final exam. Knowledge and abilities will be verified through a question/answer oral exam. The competence will be judged appropriate (with a vote based on a 30 points scale) if the student
- will show to have clearly learnt the fundamental frames of medieval history;
- will show explaining ability and conscious use of the suitable lexicon;
- will demonstrate knowledge and ability to use the tools for historical research.
The grading scale ranges from 1 to 30 with honors (cum laude):
1-17 fail
18-21 sufficient
22-24 fair
25-27 good
28-29 very good
30-30 with honors (cum laude) excellent.
The examination methods for students with disabilities and / or with Learning disability must be agreed with the teacher, in agreement with the competent Office. (https://www.unich.it/sites/default/files/carta_dei_servizi_0.pdf).
