Syllabus

Course Objectives


The course is designed to provide advanced knowledge on Psychology of well-being and performance. It will provide students with the tools for knowledge and understanding of the main theories on well-being, as well as on the main biological theories linking psychobiology with well-being.

The student must be able to demonstrate that he/she has specialized knowledge of the instruments used to detect physiological indices, indicators of the state of health and well-being.


Course Prerequisites


Previous knowledge on basic theories in biology.


Teaching Methods


Lectures 48 hours. 2-3 hours twice a week. Hands-on seminars. Work groups and discussions will be strongly encouraged. Attendance is not compulsory, but highly recommended.


Assessment Methods


Oral exam and presentation.

Evaluation criteria

- Ability to organize the contents presented during the learning activity

- Critical reasoning ability

- Ability to make logical connections with the contents of previous courses

- Ability of language exposure and divulgation during presentation

This course aims to provide in-depth knowledge of the relationship between the immune system and behavior and between the endocrine system and behavior.
