Course Objectives

DIAGNOSTIC AND CONTROL OF BUILDINGS is devoted to the procedure to be used for defining and implementing the structural model of an existing building, including its geometry, the mechanical characteristicts of materials, constructive details and so on, according to Italian technical codes NTC 2018.

The course includes theoretical aspects and applications (case studies).

The course of DIAGNOSTIC AND CONTROL OF BUILDINGS, taught in the first semester, is a part of the integrated course of EXISTING BUILDINGS, that also include ASSESSMENT OF STRUCTURAL RELIABILITY, taught in the second semester.DIAGNOSTIC AND CONTROL OF BUILDINGS is devoted to the procedure to be used for defining and implementing the structural model of an existing building, including its geometry, the mechanical characteristicts of materials, constructive details and so on, according to Italian technical codes NTC 2018.
