TL22B555E - IMMUNOHEMATOLOGY TECHNIQUES

The course aims to provide: - the theoretical basis of immunohematology, an essential prerequisite for laboratory activities carried out in the transfusion sector; - acquire basic knowledge relating to transfusion therapy with blood components/blood derivatives; - know the entire flow of activities pertaining to the biomedical laboratory technician in transfusion facilities. Furthermore, the course aims to provide the student with knowledge of the hemostasis sector, developing the mechanisms of the vascular, platelet, coagulative phase of activation and control and of the fibrinolytic systems, starting from a physiopathological point of view and identifying the tests that can be descriptive of each phase.
