Assessment Methods

Learning outcomes will be assessed through a final oral exam to verify the level of achievement of educational objectives. The evaluation criteria will focus on the correct use of discipline-specific language, knowledge and mastery of content, clarity of exposition, and the ability to synthesize in critical analysis of cardiovascular system pathologies. Students will be asked questions on topics covered in the course syllabus.

The final grade will be expressed in thirtieths.

The exam will be considered failed if the student is unable to answer a question, argue on the topic, or if during the dialogue with the instructor, the student reveals gaps that preclude the understanding of the subject matter of the question.

The exam result is expressed in thirtieths according to an ascending scale related to the demonstration of knowledge, the appropriateness of language, and the logic and coherence of the presentation:

Basic but incomplete knowledge: score 18 - 22 thirtieths;
Adequate knowledge and clarity of exposition: score 23-25 thirtieths;
Good knowledge and ability to explain topics with proper language and subject mastery: score 26-28 thirtieths;
Excellent knowledge of topics and excellent expository skills, critical reasoning: score 28-30 thirtieths.
An honorary distinction will be awarded to the student who not only exhibits exceptionally deep knowledge of the course material but also demonstrates a high level of skill in presenting arguments and a notable capacity for critical reasoning.
