Overview

Date/time interval

Primo Semestre (01/10/2025 - 31/01/2026)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to provide the theoretical knowledge necessary for understanding the analysis procedures and the instrumentation used for qualitative-quantitative analyzes, for the evaluation and treatment of analytical data in the various classical and instrumental approaches. It is also proposed to initiate the student to good laboratory practices and laboratory procedures, also in support of teaching addressed in the classroom. We aim to offer an updated picture of the most recent instrumental configurations, green approaches and quality control/automation present in the laboratory

Course Prerequisites

To understand and become familiar with the topics covered, it is required to pass the exams in General and Inorganic Chemistry and the exam in Mathematics and Physics

Teaching Methods

The teaching will be divided into lectures through the use of transparencies and Power Point, laboratory experiences and classroom exercises during class time. During the course, Power Points will be provided containing the images used during classroom lessons.

Assessment Methods

Verification of learning will be carried out through an oral exam, after passing a written test which consists of 5 chemistry exercises to be solved. The candidate is admitted to the oral exam with a minimum mark of 15/30. Eventually, in-itinere tests may be carried out to verify learning.
