Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course provides the anatomical basis required for the subsequent studi of human physiology as well as pathology and pharmacology, subjects that are essential in the CTF student curriculum vitae.
The student will learn the study of the human body topography and organization through the acquisition of basics of macroscopic and microscopic Anatomy. The course is mainly focused on splancnology and neuroanatomy

Course Prerequisites

Knowledge of the main processes happening into the cell: mitosis, meiosis, cell cycle, growth, differentiation, membrane potential, cell transport, gene transcription, protein translation.
Knowledge of basics of immunity and genetics is also required.

Teaching Methods

Theoretical lessons provided by the teacher by means of Power Point presentations.
Practical laboratory activities of macroscopic anatomy performed by anatomical models and observation of biological samples slides r microscopic anatomy also by using Histology Guide website

Assessment Methods

Oral exam with different questions on different topics.
Having previously passed the Animal Biology exam is mandatory.
The final mark will be obtained as an arithmetic mean of the grades obtained in each exam.
It is necessary to have a minimum of 18/30 in both the tests to pass the final exam.
