Date/time interval

Terzo Quadrimestre (25/02/2026 - 31/07/2026)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of innovation processes within firms, with a focus on strategic, organizational, and operational dimensions. Students will develop the ability to analyze and address real-world cases, enhancing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Practical exercises and project work will strengthen their capacity to manage innovation in competitive and digital environments.

Teaching Methods

The course employs interactive lectures, case study discussions, and project-based work. Students are encouraged to actively participate, applying theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. Ongoing assessment includes regular feedback and classroom debates.

Assessment Methods

Learning is assessed through a continuous evaluation approach, combining case discussions (30%) and project work (30%) with a final exam (40%). Attending students are expected to actively participate in practical activities, while non-attending students take a written exam based on the adopted textbook, worth 100% of their final grade.

Written Exam Assessment Criteria

Non-Attending Students
Non-attending students will complete a written exam, which accounts for 100% of the final grade. The exam consists of:

4 open-ended questions
– worth 7.5 points each
– based on the assigned textbook
– each question requires students to discuss a theoretical concept and apply it to a specific case, selected from those available on the e-learning platform.

The maximum achievable score is 30 points.
Attending Students

Attending students participate in ongoing assessment activities—case discussions and project work (60% of the final grade)—and sit a final written exam (40%) consisting of:

3 open-ended questions
– worth 10 points each
– based on lectures, class activities, and assigned cases
– each question requires students to explain a theoretical framework and apply it to a specific case, selected from those discussed in class and provided on the e-learning platform.

The maximum achievable score is 30 points.
