Contents

As outlined in the official course description, the module focuses on the study of literary works from the past two centuries, with particular emphasis on 20th-century literature in its various modes and genres. These studies are conducted in relation to the historical and theoretical challenges posed by literary modernity, employing methodologies specific to historical-literary criticism combined with the insights and approaches of committe (militant) criticism. The course thus offers an in-depth exploration of literary modernity, and especially of the 20th century, through the analysis of cultural movements, forms, languages, and the network of relationships that link literary production to other media (cinema, television, theatre, journalistic discourses).
