Course Objectives
Educational goals:
The course aims to provide students with the tools of knowing and
solving the legal problems posed by the collection, interconnection and
use of large amounts of information, with regard to the privacy and security of data (personal and commercial), the legal nature and
ownership of data, the contractual and liability profiles on the Internet.
Expected learning outcomes:
- Mastery of the method and the language of private law;
- Knowledge and understanding of the special legislation of the sector in
the Italian-European system of sources, of national and European
jurisprudence, of the proceedings of the Authorities, of the self-regulatory
codes and, more generally, of the techniques of soft law that contribute
to the regulation of the Internet network;
- Ability to correctly frame specific concrete problems from a legal point
of view;
- Ability to argue the legal solution of practical issues of normal
complexity.

Teaching is structured in 48 hours of frontal teaching, consisting of
theoretical lessons and practical exercises. It is also planned the
organization of optional seminars in English.

Assessment Methods
Final oral exam aimed to verifying the knowledge of the treated
institutions; an adequate capacity for exposure and the necessary
mastery of the method and the language of Private law; the ability to
correctly frame specific concrete problems from a legal point of view and
to argue the legal solution of practical issues of normal complexity.
They can be expected partial tests (oral or written), to be carried out in
the classroom, even in a collective way, reserved for attending students,
whose purpose is to verify the understanding of the topics covered in
class and the practical application of the arguments studied at a
theoretical level

of the 2016/679 / EU regulation, as well as manifested by the inadequacy
of the existing regulatory tools to the growing complexity of the systems
and rapidity of information flows. We will also proceed to the study of the
conclusion of the contract by electronic means, the examination of IT
contracts concerning hardware and software,
contracts for access to the Internet, civil damages in the Internet and the
