Syllabus

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, students should have acquired a three-dimensional representation of the human body, both in terms of its surface characteristics and its internal organization. The approach will be predominantly systematic, based on the study of the individual systems into which the human body can be divided, and therefore of the organs and viscera that constitute these systems. At the same time, students will be provided with the basic notions for a topographical study of human anatomy, focusing on the major regions of the body to better assess the relationships between organs, viscera, and connective tissue in each region, with particular attention to the thorax. Organs and viscera will be considered in terms of their macroscopic and microscopic structural characteristics, supported by the use of anatomical models. The acquired knowledge will finally be integrated with elements of functional anatomy and clinical anatomy.

Course Prerequisites

Having fulfilled the Additional Training Offer (OFA) if indicated.

Teaching Methods

Traditional lessons encourage interactivity through classroom discussions of the topics

Assessment Methods

Multiple-choice test consisting of 30 questions on Human Anatomy and an oral exam. A passing grade isa minimum of 60% of the questions. The grade is calculated by multiplying the number of correct answers for each module and calculating the weighted average. The questions are prepared by the teacher during the relevant academic year.
