Syllabus

Course Objectives

Present the fundamental topics of finance and give the students the instruments to make rigorous analysis. Analyze the role of institutions and of the instruments of financial markets. Improve the students' computer competencies on topics of finance.

Course Prerequisites

There are some mathematical prerequisites: 1) Basic derivatives 2) Function optimization 3) Integration and elements of statistics. In the first lessons there will be a review of mathematics and statistics.

Lectures, exercises, computer applications

Assessment Methods

Written exam, weekly exercises, series of computer projects.

Texts

Investments, Bodie, Kane e Marcus, McGraw-Hill, 10th ed. (2014). Other texts, articles etc can be used throughout the semester. The slides, exercises and other material will be published in the course's website on https://fad.unich.it
