Course Objectives

To provide students with foundational knowledge and practical tools to understand, design, and critically appraise scientific research in health and clinical contexts

Course Prerequisites

Neither specific knowledge and skills nor prerequisites are requested.

Teaching Methods

Interactive lectures; Group discussion and exercises; Case studies and critical reading; Use of real published articles

Assessment Methods

The level of learning achieved will be evaluated with a final exam consisting of a written test aimed to ascertain the standard of knowledge reached on the theoretical contents presented in the syllabus.

Copy of the slides used during the lessons and bibliographic material available online.

The course provides an overview of scientific methodology in the Health Professions and offers a practical focus on systematic reviews
