Course Objectives


Knowledge
Know the definition of Care Paths declined in the internal medicine field

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
Autonomy of judgment:
evaluate the manifestations of the health needs of the internal medicine patient by choosing the appropriate care path;
know how to analyze the specific phenomena of the person within the care path in the internal medicine field
Communication skills:
use communication skills in order to direct the person, the family and the caregivers in hospital and territorial care paths
Ability to learn:
elaborate and apply specific care paths for the internal medicine patient;
collaborate in the design of Care Paths in the internal medicine field;
define and evaluate the outcomes of a Care Path in the internal medicine field
Transversal skills
Acquire skills in the discussion and multidisciplinary management of clinical cases in the internal medicine field;
elaborate projects in the internal medicine field;
provide basic knowledge on the objectives and purposes of care paths in the internal medicine field;
identify and illustrate the multidimensionality and complexity of the internist patient;
promote the taking charge and managing the care and assistance pathways of the patient and his family through multi-professional teams within the structures of the hospital-territory network

Teaching Methods


The teaching is structured in 16 hours of interactive frontal teaching, with the aid of computer-based teaching material in Power Point format and guided practical exercises, divided into lessons of 3-4 hours based on the academic calendar
