The course will introduce students to the study of the mind and behavior, providing the foundational concepts of cognitive science along with in-depth exploration of selected research topics in cognitive neuroscience.
Course Prerequisites
The course is designed to allow students without prior disciplinary knowledge to achieve the stated learning objectives. Therefore, there are no formal prerequisites, although supplementary readings may be recommended
Teaching Methods
The course includes:Lectures, aimed at providing students with the core theoretical knowledge;Group work, focused on the presentation and in-class discussion of selected scientific articles, with the goal of fostering critical thinking and practical application of course content.
Assessment Methods
- Final oral exam (60%): individual assessment covering theoretical knowledge and practical applications discussed during the course. - Group assignments (40%): presentation and critical discussion of selected scientific articles during class sessions. The final grade will be expressed in thirtieths
