Syllabus

Course Objectives


The course aims to give a philosophical-psychological cut to the topic of cognitive processes, starting from Spinoza's mind-body parallelism up to the philosophy of the embodied mind that has emerged in recent years in the field of neuroscience.


Course Prerequisites


Basic knowledge of Spinoza's Philosophy and cognitive psychology

Teaching Methods


The course topics will be presented through lectures, but also group discussions on several articles are planned in order to stimulate a critical perspective on the study of the topics covered.

Assessment Methods


oral test in which the student will be evaluated based on the following criteria: ability to analyze and summarize the proposed pieces; ability to argue the knowledge acquired; critical reasoning skills on the study carried out; quality of presentation - linguistic competence: specialized vocabulary. To pass the exam it is necessary to obtain a minimum mark of 18/30.
