Teaching Methods

The coursebook provides the guidelines for the program and the activities that will be carried out. These will be adapted to the characteristics of the group and integrated with other materials. The lessons will be mainly practical and conducted in English. Students are encouraged to participate actively in order to develop their communication skills. New vocabulary will be presented in the context of real-life situations. New structures will be briefly introduced and analyzed, followed by controlled exercises and free practice to facilitate learning and acquisition. Special emphasis will be placed on the use of authentic materials for individual study.
ONLY for BASA students: The use of materials drawn from a variety of authentic texts will enable students to quickly gain mastery of grammatical structures while also acquiring specialized vocabulary.

Assessment Methods

The exam includes a written test divided into three parts: Reading comprehension, listening comprehension, use of English in relation to the topics covered during the lessons. The test will have a duration of 75 minutes and will be carried out in person. The use of dictionaries and/or other paper supports is not permitted. The appeals are open to both attending students and students not attending.

A handout will be provided by the lecturer and uploaded to the Moodle platform along with additional material for home exercises.
