Syllabus

Course Objectives

The final objective of the course is the acquisition of basic anatomical knowledge to understand the general organization of the human body with particular attention to the apparati involved in the stomatognathic systems. The achievement of the general objective allows the student to make full use of subsequent courses that require morphological knowledge and provides the graduate with a cultural substratum useful for practicing the profession and interacting with other professionals. Therefore, the expected learning outcomes foresee that at the end of the course the student must be able to remember the fundamental concepts to discuss the correlations between the structures of the human body and their functions, will be able to apply the anatomical knowledge and the ability of understanding of the technical aspects, will have acquired autonomy of judgment. In addition, he will have acquired the basic anatomical-medical terminology and the skills necessary for the professional opportunities foreseen by the degree course.

Teaching Methods

Frontal lessons carried out with the aid of electronic devices and a multimedia classroom equipped with a virtual dissection table.

Assessment Methods

The exam is aimed to understanding if the student knows and knows how to describe the structural organization of the human body and the structure-function relationships, with particular reference to the pneumo-phono-articulatory and auditory apparatus.
The exam involves a multiple choice written test (31 questions with 4 answer options, of which only one is correct. Each correct answer is worth 1 point and no points are deducted for incorrect or not given answers). The final grade will be expressed out of thirty.

2) Fonzi L. Anatomia funzionale e clinica dello splancnocranio Edi-Ermes + Fitzgerald et al “Neuroanatomia con riferimenti funzionali e clinici” Elsevier
3) Any book of human anatomy used for the Medical School that includes all the arguments of the described in the program section

Contents

The class will define the appropriate reference terminology and will examine the main organs and systems of the human body from a morphological and functional point of view. Particular attention will be paid to the functional anatomy of the stomatognathic system.
