Syllabus

Course Objectives


The primary goal of the laboratory is to provide students with tools useful for a first recognition of prehistoric lithic artefacts, enabling them to develop a preliminary techno-typological analysis of the same, inserting them in an appropriate chronological and cultural context. Furthermore, a summary of the different periods of prehistory from the Lower Paleolithic to the Eneolithic is presented, in order to adequately contextualize the lithic artefacts.

Teaching Methods


Lectures with Power Point. Practical activity of inventory, cataloging and drawing of the lithic industry.


Assessment Methods


Oral exam aimed at ascertaining the suitability of the 3 CFU, with questions on what has been learned during the workshop and evaluation of the practical work done (catologing and drawing of stone artefacts).
