Course Objectives

The course will explore:

The theoretical and conceptual framework of educational linguistics
Processes of language acquisition and learning, with a particular focus on the role of semiotics
Interlanguage development
Contemporary approaches and methodologies in language teaching, with emphasis on intercultural competence
Language policy and planning, as well as language testing.

Course Prerequisites

nozioni di linguistica generale e didattica delle lingue moderne oppure di didattica dell'italiano L2.

Teaching Methods

Lezioni frontali, seminari, lavori di gruppo su argomenti concordati assieme alla docente e in base alla lingue di specializzazione degli studenti.

Assessment Methods

La verifica consiste in un colloquio che per i non frequentanti verterà sui contenuti dei testi in programma, mentre per i frequentati verterà non solo sui testi, ma anche sui contenuti dei lavori di gruppo svolti durante il corso.
