The author of this study focuses on Nicolas Beauduin, father of Paroxysme, a poetic school, supported by Apollinaire and futurists, who imposed himself in the Belle Époque glorifying above all Paris, the modern city, a symbol of industrial and proletarian evolution. Images of the cities celebrated with enthusiasm by the poets of the time also accompany the study of the theories of this school, today defined as pre-vanguard.
