Ital'janskaja istoriografija i "Russkij pochod" [Italian Historiography and the "Russian Campaign"]

The article considers the Italian historiography devoted to the participation of the Italian Troops in the Russian campaign from 1941 to 1943. The author briefly explores the reasons that led Mussolini to the war against the Soviet Union and perception of the war by the Italian public opinion. The use of this problem by the Italian political forces during the 1948 elections is analysed.
