A library for all

L’interesse del laboratorio di tesi si focalizza su
quella che possiamo chiamare “costa urbana”.
Sull’idea cioè, che la città, la sua relazione con le
strategie infrastrutturali urbane, i nuovi luoghi e i
ruoli che essi svolgono nella loro trasformazione
conseguente proprio all’assetto che tale strategia
infrastrutturale porta con se, possa arrivare a
rappresentarsi come una sorta di suo riflesso sul
mare... Il laboratorio si propone di valorizzare le
potenzialità dell’acqua nell’idea di Città di Pescara,
e/o di Città simili, pensando a uno sviluppo anche
economico che tali interventi potrebbero apportare
ad un sistema esaurito e logoro, attraverso un
sistema di uso della costa non più idoneo a far
convivere il rispetto della stessa, con le esigenze
economiche, e con le regole del vivere urbano. La
linea del fiume e quella della costa appunto.
The thesis workshop focused on what we can
refer to as an “urban coast”. In other words,
on the idea that the city, its relation with urban
infrastructural strategies, new sites and the new
roles they play in the transformations induced by
this infrastructural strategy, can be represented as
a sort of reflection on the water… The workshop
promoted the potentialities of water in relation
to the idea of the city of Pescara and/or similar
cities, imagining the growth, also economic, that
similar interventions can bring to an exhausted
and tired system, through a new approach to uses
of the coast no longer suitable to the coexistence
between this environment and the new economies
and rules of urban dwelling. The line of the river
and the line of the coast.
