De la philologie allemande à la littérature comparée: un cas de trasfert de capitale culturel

This essay examines the creation of modern Comparative Literature in the II post-war USA through the lens of Pierre Bourdieu's sociology of culture, interpreting it as the result of a process of transplanting the cultural capital of German philology on the soil of US academia, and investigates the implications and values of different philological models within a worldwide, transnational space.
