abstract:
Taranto is an heterotopia that communicates the values of plural and transient identity as result of millennian stratifications. The city is characterized by a deep story that formed an amazing site borned to be a cross-border place.
This wide perspective has oriented the thoughts accrued during the Villard International Seminar 2020 From Social Housing to Social Habitat within which the essay is located.
In particular, the essay argues that housing is a complex concept that cannot be reduced to a functional necessity. Housing is a culture, social and enviromental infrastructure. It asks integration with the context (economic, enviromental, social and phisical)
