Sospendere e lasciare. Annotazioni su un versante cruciale della “cura”

Starting from a semantic distinction between consciousness and awareness, the article aims at highlighting a side of the notion of care and concern usually left in the shade, that of suspending and letting go, rather than being active and doing this or that. Also referring to some issues currently debated within the field of phenomenology and neuroscience, the article ends up with an attempt to show the strong connection between the aforementioned aspect of care and the idea of a freedom, which is linked not to decision and performance, but to their suspension.
