Multidimensional potential energy surfaces for rare-gas - Propylene oxide systems

Chapter
Publication Date:
2024
abstract:
The molecular beam technique was employed to measure the collision velocity dependence of the total (elastic plus inelastic) integral cross section for the scattering of He and Ne by propylene oxide. These measurements provide information on the absolute scale of the long-range attraction and of the average binding energy in the range of equilibrium distances. An integrated phenomenological-theoretical method was exploited to characterize range, strength, and anisotropy of the interaction of propylene oxide with the complete series of rare gases.
