GRUAs alternative urban model on the Arade River

The contribution describes the outcomes of the Design Workshop experience within the framework of the ERASMUS+ BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) Cidades de Acolhimento, which takes the southern region of Algarve as a case study. This region includes the town of Portimão, threatened by the risks of climate change, according to the Climate Central future projections. It has been a chance to suggest alternative urban model, able to deal with the climate emergency and the necessity to change our point of view.
