Stone civilization. Materials and construction techniques of architecture in Abruzzo

The contribution tries to investigate the repercussions on traditional construction of the use of stone materials, which constitute a significant case of persistence of masonry techniques that was born in the Middle Ages, but which then finds constant applications also in the modern age, a sign of a «stone civilization» which revises and perfects its building processes without significant interruptions.
