Fattori di rischio psicosociale nelle imprese artigianali: Applicazione del modello di Karasek,Psychosocial risk factors in artisan enterprises: Application of the Karasek model

Academic Article
Publication Date:
2016
abstract:
Following the Karasek stress model, the aim of the present study was to test the relationship between exposure to psychosocial risks (organizational stressors) and psychological distress in a population of 208 employees in small craft work enterprises. Psychosocial factors were assessed by the Health and Safety Executive Indicator Tool. As an outcome measure, we were used responses to the 12-item General Health Questionnaire. The degree of negative affectivity was considered as control. The results showed that workers in small artisan enterprises have low risk for psychosocial factors. Job strain was in relationship with psychological well-being and the expected role of negative affectivity in explaining perceived strain is confirmed. Physiological and life style variables were not related to the organizational stressors or to psychological distress.
