Ekumenizam i/ili paganizam ferarsko-firentinskog sabora

Уовом раду се разматрају концепције екуменизма и пагани-
зма везане за ферарско-фирентински васељенски сабор (1438-1445), како по
изворним намерама самог сабора тако и по последицама сабора на европ-
ску културу. Сусрет два света, византијског и западноевропског, захваљу-
јући кључним личностима овог значајног историјског и културног момен-
та и епохе, Георгија Гемистоста Плетона и Марсилија Фичина, довео је до
трансфера културе из једне епохе у другу, из једне области у другу и отворио
је врата бројним струјама (неоплатонизам, херметизам и сл.) које су
дефинитивно и једном за свагда условиле и промениле нашу културу.
This paper explores the themes of ecumenism and paganism in relation to the
Ferrara-Florence Ecumenical Council (1438-1445), analyzing both the original
intentions of the council and its lasting impact on European culture. The
convergence of the Byzantine and Western European worlds – facilitated by key
figures such as Georgius Gemistos Plethon and Marsilio Ficino – resulted in a
cultural transfer that bridged different eras and regions. This encounter not only
fostered the exchange of ideas but also paved the way for numerous intellectual
currents, including Neoplatonism and Hermeticism, which ultimately shaped
and transformed European cultural history in a definitive manner.
