BORONATED DERIVATIVES FOR THE TREATMENT OF DISEASES AND CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED TO OXIDATIVE STRESS

Patent
Publication Date:
2019
abstract:
The patent describes the design and synthesis of innovative boronated derivatives with antioxidant, neuroprotective, antiplatelet, antimicrobial, and antitumor activities for the treatment of diseases associated with oxidative stress, including neurodegenerative and cardiovascular disorders. The invention includes the synthesis and biological evaluation of novel lipoic acid–based boron compounds showing improved bioactivity, reduced toxicity, and enhanced pharmacological properties compared with existing compounds. Experimental studies demonstrated promising neuroprotective effects, antioxidant activity, antiplatelet properties, and antimicrobial potential, supporting their possible pharmaceutical application in oxidative stress-related diseases
