Family Business, Socio-Emotional Wealth, and CSR. Insights from Italian Family Businesses

Book
Publication Date:
2026
abstract:
Although several family businesses (FBs) boast histories of up to 100 years, research on this type of firm still needs to progress. This is evidenced by the numerous contributions in the relevant literature that are always suggesting new topics for investigation and pushing scholars to study FBs from different perspectives and that are always considering new research topics (Arzubiaga et al. 2022; Daspit et al. 2024; Reiners and Kammerlander 2024; Rovelli et al. 2022).
The main objective of this book is to contribute to the development of the strand on FBs by proposing an empirical study of the influence of one of the main constructs of family involvement in business, namely, socio-emotional wealth (SEW), on engagement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices.
