Syllabus
Course Objectives
The teaching aims at acquiring the logical tools deemed indispensable for understanding economic theory, emphasizing
also highlighting the pluralism of ideas in a context aimed at valuing diverse visions.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES.
*KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
The student/student at the end of the course will be able to:
-recognize the peculiarities of the historical periods considered, identifying their schools of economic thought.
-refer to the aspects and particularities of the economic theories analyzed,
- use appropriate and relevant terminology.
*ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
The student/student upon completion of the course will be able to:
-identify the influences of economic theories in the historical development of modern and contemporary economic systems.
*COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
At the end of the course, the student/student will have acquired the ability communicative skills suitable to expound and discuss also critically the thought of economists and the theories of the major schools of thought analyzed.
*LEARNING SKILLS
By the end of the course, students will have developed autonomous learning skills and the ability to critically process knowledge, enabling them to explore the topics covered by the course independently. These skills will be fostered through active participation, including interactive engagement, in lectures and other course activities.
*AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
At the end of the course, the student/student will be able to make autonomous judgments with respect to what has been learned during the lectures. The student/student will be able to understand theories economics, interpreting them critically with respect to different historical moments history. Verification of these skills will be carried out in examinations of profit.

Teaching Methods
The teaching is divided into 36 hours of frontal teaching which will have for subject theoretical topics developed by the teacher.
Assessment Methods
Type of exam: oral
METHOD OF ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING: The assessment of learning will be carried out through an oral exam, composed of questions aimed at verifying the knowledge of the subject of the exam, as well as the ability to understand, the autonomy of judgement and communication skills. The assessment will consider the appropriate use of language, the ability to establish connections between different topics and the ability to interact critically on the themes proposed by the teacher. The oral exam will be assessed with a score expressed in thirtieths.
A score from 0 to 17 expresses an insufficient test, lacking the minimum elements in order to the knowledge of the discipline and the ability to identify the routes and types of tourism, the economic aspect of the sector with a particular reference to the dynamics and historical-economic effects of sustainable tourism, the ability to identify the phases that have characterized the cultural evolution in Europe.
For tests that are at least sufficient, the evaluation will be structured according to the achievement of each of the expected educational objectives and all the expected learning outcomes, according to the following scale: score equal to 18: sufficient level; 19-22: more than sufficient; 23-26: good; 27-29: very good; 30: excellent. Honors are awarded when the exam, with the awarding of the maximum evaluation, consists of answers that express an excellent level of independent judgment, communication skills and learning ability. The evaluation will be expressed in thirtieths. Students will be able to access the exam sessions after regular online registration.
Students with disabilities, specific learning disorders (SLD), or other special educational needs (SEN) may benefit from individualized examination arrangements, in accordance with current legislation and the provisions set out in the University's Service Charter (https://www.unich.it/sites/default/files/2024-02/carta_dei_servizi_0.pdf), subject to prior agreement with the course instructor.
To request compensatory measures and/or accommodations, students must contact the CON_TE_STO Service, following the procedure described in the University's Service Charter.

The History of Economic Thought course analyzes evolution of economic science from the preclassical period to recent developments
of the contemporary age. The following topics will be addressed in more detail: the economy preclassical; classical and neoclassical economic thought; the thought heterodox economic; recent developments in economic thought.
