Course Objectives

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The course aims to provide students with the conceptual and methodological tools to understand and manage projects as systems of value creation, integrating the economic-managerial perspective with the organizational and applied ones. By the end of the course, students will have acquired systematic knowledge of the foundations, principles, and performance domains of project management, together with the ability to apply them to real project contexts.
Knowledge and understanding
Students will acquire the foundations of Business Administration and innovation applied to the project dimension; they will understand project management as a system of value creation and will become familiar with the principles, performance domains, tools, and techniques that guide its application, with reference to the relevant international standards (PMBOK® Guide, PMI).
Applying knowledge and understanding
Students will be able to apply the principles, tools, and techniques of project management to the planning, execution, and control of projects, translating theoretical concepts into operational choices consistent with value-creation objectives.
Making judgements
Students will develop the ability to critically assess project decisions, to analyze the trade-offs among time, cost, quality, and resource constraints, and to formulate independent judgements even under conditions of uncertainty, recognizing the economic and organizational implications of project management choices.
Communication skills
Students will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, using appropriate technical language, the objectives, progress, and results of a project to different interlocutors (stakeholders, project team, clients), justifying their choices with methodological rigor.
Learning skills
Students will develop the skills needed to independently update their knowledge of project management, keeping pace with the evolution of standards, methodologies, and tools, so as to continue their studies with increasing autonomy in professional and advanced training contexts.
