Synthesis, physicochemical characterization and analysis of drug delivery systems in nanotechnology and nanomedicine. Students will learn fundamentals for the synthesis, physicochemical characterization and biological tests of drug delivery systems and medical devices. The course aims at proposing a comprehensive view of basal procedures and assays used for the biological evaluation of newly synthetized compounds, nanomaterials and drug delivery.
Course Prerequisites
Pharmaceutical Technology with laboratory. Human Anatomy.
Teaching Methods
Classes activities. Individual activities. Training activities. 12 hours of lectures.
Assessment Methods
Oral discussion/presentation of topics included in the program. 4 different questions, 2 questions for each modules discussing the thematic issues of the program Minimum score for the approval: 18/30. Oral examination/presentation. Students with disabilities, specific learning disorders (SLD), or other special educational needs may receive individualized exam arrangements—in compliance with regulations and the University’s Service Charter ( https://www.unich.it/sites/default/files/2024-02/carta_dei_servizi_0.pdf )—subject to prior agreement with the course instructor. To request compensatory measures and dispensations, students must contact the CON_TE_STO Service and follow the procedure outlined in the Service Charter. Students are encouraged to contact the instructor during the course or well in advance of the exam date to discuss exam procedures and the measures that are accepted. For guidance and information regarding the various services offered by the University, students may contact the Department’s designated faculty representative, Prof. Letizia Giampietro, at letizia.giampietro@unich.it
