Course Prerequisites

No formal prerequisites are required. However, having completed courses in Business Organization and/or Human Resource Management provides a solid foundation that can facilitate the approach to the subject.

Teaching Methods

The course adopts a variety of teaching methodologies, consistent with its balanced theory-practice orientation:– Lectures with guided discussion: each module starts from a structured presentation of theoretical models, enriched by examples from Italian and international organizational contexts.– Case studies: HBS (Harvard Business School) cases and original Italian cases, distributed before class to stimulate active preparation (partial flipped classroom).– Role play and simulations: particularly useful for modules on conflict, negotiation, and group dynamics. – Business testimonials of Strategy@work program– Self-assessment and self-awareness: tools such as the VIA Character Strengths Survey, the Leadership Style Questionnaire (Northouse), and Lencioni's Five Dysfunctions test.– Group project work: a living laboratory for applying group dynamics theories. The process is as formative as the final output.

Assessment Methods

Students who have attended at least 75% of the course will be considered «attending».For attending students, assessment takes place in two moments:a) Presentation and discussion of the group project work (weight: 40% of final grade).b) Written exam with open questions and/or questions on theories, models, and cases (duration 60–90 min., weight: 50%).c) Active participation in class: contribution to discussions, quality of case interventions, peer feedback (weight: 10%).The minimum threshold for each component (written exam and project work) is 15/30 to access the weighted average.Non-attending students will be evaluated exclusively on the basis of the final oral exam on the given readings The following criteria will contribute to the oral exam evaluation: relevance of answers, quality of content, ability to connect with other course topics, ability to provide examples, technical language proficiency, and overall expressive ability.
