Syllabus

Course Objectives


The teaching is part of the general objective of the study course of providing theoretical knowledge and experiential knowledge in the field of occupational therapy, allowing the student to acquire translatable skills in the context of clinical practice.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding:
Learn basic concepts and applications of Occupational Therapy
Acquire the skills necessary for setting up an occupational program
Autonomy of judgment:
Use clinical reasoning in reading clinical cases
Set up an occupational program
Communication skills:
Discuss different clinical cases on a theoretical and practical level​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Teaching Methods


The teaching is divided into 20 hours of frontal teaching, which include a strong interactive component between teacher and students.

Assessment Methods

The oral exam is aimed at ascertaining the learning outcomes. The vote is expressed as eligibility.

Students with disabilities, Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or other Special Educational Needs (SEN) may be entitled to individualized arrangements during examinations, in accordance with applicable legislation and the provisions set out in the University Charter of Services (https://www.unich.it/sites/default/files/2024-02/carta_dei_servizi_0.pdf), subject to prior agreement with the course instructor. Contents


The course will deal with the Introduction to the Occupational Therapy Process; will present and discuss clinical cases with the student; will initiate the student to simulate the clinical cases treated. The aforementioned topics are aimed at achieving the expected learning outcomes.
