Course Objectives

Understand the data collection required for a correct diagnosis, and understand the clinical fundamentals of orthodontics, including banding techniques, biomechanics, work sequences, finishing, and maintenance. Understand and distinguish the timing of intervention for each orthodontic condition.

Course Prerequisites

Passed the Orthodontics I-Gnathology I exam

Teaching Methods

The delivery method is the traditional one through lectures and exercises.

Assessment Methods

The exam consists of an oral test. This will determine the passing grade, out of thirty.

The integrated Orthodontics and Gnathology course for the fifth year of the CLMOPD program is composed of two modules, Orthodontics II and Gnathology II. The Orthodontics II module carries 4.0 credits. For the Orthodontics module, credits include
lectures and practical exercises. Teaching is organized into introductory modules, presented through participatory lectures.

The course will be held in classroom 3C (subject to change) in building B of the G. D'Annunzio University Campus, Via dei Vestini, Chieti Scalo. Classes begin every Wednesday from 12:00 to 14:00 according to the academic calendar.
