Course Objectives

Know the major ENT diseases to have a good integration with the otolaryngologist

Course Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites outside those provided for in the study plan. . No prerequisites are required but supplementary readings may be recommended from time to time, which will also allow students who have not previously acquired disciplinary knowledge to achieve the aforementioned goals.

Teaching Methods

Frontal lessons and practical exercises during the lessons. Voluntary practical exercises in a clinical setting. Interactive methods will be used to involve students and stimulate clinical reflection. The interactive mode requires constant participation by the students in the lessons

Assessment Methods

The exam will be oral and the evaluation will be based on the following parameters:A) Knowledge of the fundamental notions present in the recommended texts (until 8 points)B) Ability to organize knowledge discursively by addressing individual topics from different points of view compared to the recommended texts (until 8 points)C) Ability to critically reason on the diagnosis and therapy of the pathologies addressed (until 8 points)D) Quality, competence, effectiveness and linearity of exposure and use of specialized vocabulary (until 8 points) The constant attendance at the lessons guarantees a result in terms of score higher than the lack of constant attendance

Students having at least 50% attendance in class will be able to recover with practical tasks in outpatient clinic and ENT Department prior arrangement with the teacher. Students will be received by appointment at giampiero.neri@unich.it
