Course Objectives

To know the development and growth ofthe craniofacial complex, to know how tomake clinical and cephalometric diagnosisof skeletal disorders of the craniofacialcomplex (distinguishing a skeletal classfrom a II and / or a third). Know the timingof intervention for each orthodonticpathology and identify the appropriateorthodontic device to solve the pathologyitself. Knowing how each device acts withinthe oral cavity

Teaching Methods

The delivery method is the traditional onethrough frontal lesson and exercises tolearn the anatomy of the muscles of theskull-cervical district and to understand theetiopatogenetic mechanisms at the base ofthe skull-cervical-mandibular disorders.Practical exercises will be used with theaim of teaching students the cephalometricanalysis and space analysis in order to place a correct diagnosis cephalometric aswell as internship at the clinical unit ofOrthodontics of the University of Chieti

Assessment Methods

The exam consists of a written test (withmultiple choice questions) for access to theoral examination and a subsequentinterview.Passing the written test will allow access tothe oral exam. The last one will deduct thevote to pass the exam in thirtieths.
