Syllabus

Course Objectives

Know the basic elements of descriptive, analytical and evaluative epidemiology; know and know how to use the main measures of disease frequency and exposure to risk factors and protective factors; know and know how to use the main measures of disease risk. Know the principles of organization and national and regional health planning.

Teaching Methods

The teaching is structured in frontal lessons according to the teaching calendar. The lessons include a strong interactive component between Teacher and Students. Attendance is compulsory.

Assessment Methods

Oral exam: the student must demonstrate his preparation by dealing in a clear and organized way with the topics requested by the teacher. The evaluation will be carried out using votes in thirtieth.

Contents

The course aims to provide:
- basic knowledge of epidemiology for the analysis and understanding of public health problems
-knowledge of the operating structures of the National Health Service, of the Local Health Authorities and health planning.
