Syllabus

Course Objectives


In compliance with the Academic Regulations, the module provides students with the tools necessary to effectively manage an emergency by identifying the warning signs and symptoms.

Course Prerequisites


To be eligible for the exam, students must have attended 70% of the lectures for the Integrated Course in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing and passed all second-year exams.

Teaching Methods


The module, which is mandatory, consists of lectures. The instructor will adopt a teaching style based on the presentation of pre-existing problems and professional situations, which will stimulate students' interest in the course topics and encourage the application of knowledge in real-life clinical settings.

Assessment Methods


Assessment is based on an oral exam. Grades are out of 30; the exam is considered passed if the score is equal to or higher than eighteen thirtieths (18/30). When determining the order in which students are examined, particular consideration will be given to the specific needs of working students. A failing grade is not accompanied by a grade. Publicity for the exams is ensured. The following indicators and descriptors will be considered for the oral exam:
INDICATORS: BROADNESS AND COHERENCE
DESCRIPTORS: complete 30, in-depth 29-27, fair with some gaps 26-24, fully adequate 23-21, barely adequate 20-18
INDICATORS: correct expressiveness, command of scientific language, communication skills
DESCRIPTORS: refined and original 30, clear, fluent, and correct 29-27, fair 26-24, fair 23-21, not fully adequate 20-18.
To pass the exam, a grade of at least 18/30 is required; to achieve a grade of 30/30 with honors, the student must demonstrate excellent knowledge of all the topics covered in the course and the ability to connect them in a logical and coherent manner.
