Syllabus

Course Objectives


The training objective aims at the acquisition of knowledge and understanding of appropriate techniques to carry out activities in response to care needs in response to problems of low, medium and high complexity of the person, family and community and to the development of the application capacity of such procedures. The student will be able to perform the right performance based on a careful identification of needs and critically evaluating the outcome of the choice made by applying the nursing process in each context. Furthermore, it will develop an effective level of communication with users, modulating its language based on the interlocutor's comprehension skills, implementing technical and educational interventions.




Course Prerequisites


It is necessary to have passed and passed the exams foreseen in the study plan of the third year of the course, first semester




Teaching Methods


The laboratory activities are a form of interactive teaching addressed to a small group of students; this activity is supported by a tutor. Experiential learning takes place in the nursing laboratory through the use of dummies and teaching aids prepared for the simulation of emergency-urgency activities.






Assessment Methods


Verification of learning is included in the "Traineeship" exam.

Minutes will be taken, according to the calendar of appeals, stating the 100% attendance at training sessions.

Contents


The student during the laboratory activity foreseen in the 3rd year, consolidates and perfects the skills acquired in the previous two years, as well as acquires the skills to provide nursing care to the highly complex adult with both acute and chronic problems.

Elements are provided to learn how to organize, perform and evaluate, with appropriate techniques, the care activities, in compliance with the fundamental scientific principles of the profession, to the person in emergency situations, in the critical area, in the neurological and psychiatric environment and in the operating room. Elements are provided for the correct application of diagnostic-therapeutic prescriptions in critical environments.
