Course Objectives

Acquisition and development of receptive communication skills (listening and reading) and production (speaking and writing) through both guided and autonomous activities, related to relevant situations of daily experience.

The knowledge of at least one foreign language is indispensable to face the complexity of today's social, cultural and productive scenarios and the continuous transformation of the processes of construction and dissemination of knowledge highlight the need for renewed professional figures equipped with knowledge and skills that can be used in the field of education and training.
The course aims to train an operator with relational and cultural skills. Fundamental skills of the educational professionalism of this figure are the ability to conceive, design, program, implement, implement and verify activities aimed at development and training in the fields of play, motor skills, language, growth and psycho-physical well-being . This professionalism aims at enhancing the cognitive, creative, expressive and relational potential of each individual.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to understand isolated sentences and frequently used expressions relating to areas of immediate relevance (eg basic information about the person and the family, purchases, local geography, work). It manages to communicate in simple and routine activities that require only a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and usual matters. He can describe in simple terms aspects of his experience and his environment and elements that refer to immediate needs.
He is able to understand the essential points of clear messages in standard language on familiar topics that he normally deals with at work, at school, in his spare time etc. He gets along in many situations that can occur traveling to a region where the language in question is spoken. Can produce simple and consistent texts on topics that are familiar to him or are of interest to him. He is able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, ambitions, to briefly explain reasons and give explanations about opinions and projects.
He knows aspects of German, Austrian and Swiss civilization.

Teaching Methods

Lessons and exercizes
The teaching is divided into 24 hours of frontal teaching which foresee a strong interactive component between teacher and student.

Assessment Methods

Oral examination 20 minutes

The final exam is an interview and a check on the program carried out, based on readings, phonetics, exercises, words. Prepare a personal presentation (written and oral) explaining topics covered in the course.

Program for non-attending students: In addition to the study files for all students consult Facts about Germany pdf online and prepare a summary of a chapter of about 20 pages.
