Course Objectives

Educational objectives: The educational objectives of this annual course are the development and expansion of specific skills in accordance with the specific needs of the course of studies L12. In particular, these are translation skills (from German to Italian and from Italian to German) and linguistic mediation (Gesprächsdolmetschen). Furthermore, the teaching of the use of automated translation is foreseen (www.deepl.com, https://translate.google.it).
From a linguistic point of view, the course aims to provide the necessary tools to reach level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: learners can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract subjects, including technical discussions on its own field of specialization. Learners will be able to interact with a certain fluency and spontaneity that will make possible a natural interaction with native speakers without any effort for the interlocutor. They will be able to produce clear and detailed texts on a wide range of topics and explain a point of view on a topic by providing the pros and cons of the various options.

Course Prerequisites

Prerequisites: Level B1/B2 (Common European Framework of Reference).
